class simpeg.electromagnetics.frequency_domain.Fields3DMagneticFluxDensity(simulation)[source]#

Bases: FieldsFDEM

Fields class for storing 3D total magnetic flux density solutions.

This class stores the total magnetic flux density solution computed using a frequency_domain.Simulation3DMagneticFluxDensity simulation object. This class can be used to extract the following quantities:

  • 'b', 'bPrimary', 'bSecondary' and 'h' on mesh faces.

  • 'e', 'ePrimary', 'eSecondary' and 'j' on mesh edges.

  • 'charge' on mesh nodes.

  • 'charge_density' at cell centers.

The FDEM simulation object associated with the fields.

approxSize

Approximate cost of storing all of the known fields in MB.

Python data type(s) used to store the fields.

knownFields

The field solutions and where they are discretized on the mesh.

mesh

Mesh used by the simulation.

simulation

The simulation object used to compute the field solution.

survey

Survey used by the simulation.
