ExpMap.inverse(D)[source]#

Apply the inverse of the exponential mapping to an array.

For the exponential mapping u(m), the inverse mapping on a variable x is performed by taking the natural logarithms of elements, i.e.:

m=u1(x)=log(x)
Parameters:
Dnumpy.ndarray

A set of input values

Returns:
numpy.ndarray

A numpy.ndarray containing result of applying the inverse mapping to the elements in D; which in this case is the natural logarithm.
